The Wests plus Nessa and her boyfriend Dave Coaches with baby Neil come to spend Christmas at Billericay where Mick cooks a handsome turkey dinner for them all. Gavin announces that he has got a job in Cardiff,later explaining to Smithy that it was the best thing he could think of to save his marriage. Smithy comes to accept it but feels pushed out of Neil's life when Nessa accepts Dave's marriage proposal.
